The Van Amringe Memorial Quadrangle is located between Hamilton and John Jay Halls, immediately in front of Hartley and Wallach. The 'quadrangle', named after John Howard Van Amringe, the popular first Dean of Columbia College and professor of Mathematics from 1865-1910, consists of two lawns with a rotunda in between housing a bust of Van Amringe.
