Carleton Commons, formerly Carleton Lounge and the adjoining Carleton Cafeteria, is a common space located on the campus level of Mudd. Currently in its soft launch phase, the commons is expected to have its official opening early in the Fall 2016 semester. The space features open and private student study areas, and is accessible from a shiny new doorway at Mudd's 4th floor entrance.

The old cafeteria that used the Carleton Lounge as a dining space before Spring 2015 is no more, set to be replaced by a Blue Jave Cafè. Despite the current lack of sustenance sources nearby, many a SEAS student can be seen stressing out in the commons during finals.
