King's Crown building

Hi! Thanks for your contributions. Just a couple tips as you continue to edit WikiCU:

  • We already have quite a few pages on many topics, so you may want to search for them before you start a new page. For example, the building on 116th you began a new page for already has a page at [[King's Crown {Residence Hall)]] that you could have located by searching for the address.
  • When beginning new articles or expanding old ones, please consider that may proper named institutions or features of Columbia have pages that you should link to using two brackets ([ and [ next to each other, then the phrase, then ] and ]) around each linked phrase. For example, Deutsches Haus has its own page and thus it makes more sense to link to the WikiCU page, which includes a link to the official Deutsches Haus page as well as additional information, than solely linking to the original page.
  • Finally, note that WikiCU has a protocol for linking to regular Wikipedia using [ [ w:Article name|Link text ] ] format (with the brackets next to each other), meaning you don't have to create an outside link for Wikipedia articles. You should also consider that, if linking to an article on a Columbia affiliate, it is best to link to that affiliate's WikiCU page. If that page hasn't been created yet, chances are it will be soon.

Thank you - your contributions have been great so far and I look forward to more! Pacman 22:35, 19 May 2013 (EDT)

Hi! Thank you for these comments and your edits, I am new (at least as an editor) to WikiCU... Most importantly, I completely missed the existing King's Crown page, I guess the two should be merged. I will try to find a solution for this... Thanks for your encouragements! --Alinghi 23:49, 19 May 2013 (EDT)
