Los Angeles is the largest city on the west coast, and the second largest city in the United States (after New York City). Appropriately enough, LA is the opposite to NYC in practically every way: the weather is the same year-round, public transportation is virtually non-existent, and few buildings rise above two stories tall.

It is rare to find someone at Columbia who is from Los Angeles who did not go to Harvard-Westlake.
