Master of Laws (LLM) is a graduate degree offered by the law school. It is considered a step above a JD but is more often pursued by foreign students who have completed only undergraduate LLBs or their equivalents. The degree generally takes one year to earn; its holders generally go on to become law professors, judges, or politicians.
