David Denby CC '65, Journalism '66, is an American film critic and staff writer for The New Yorker.
In 1991, he returned to Columbia to take Lit Hum and Contemporary Civilization for a second time. His book, Great Books is a reflection on his personal experiences and impact of the courses.
