Diana Vagelos BC '55 is, along with her husband (P. Roy Vagelos, a medical school alumnus) one of Barnard's major donors. She donated the Vagelos Alumnae Center and has donated the plurality of funds needed for the Nexus, leading to rumors it would be named after her.
