Eric Kandel is a University Professor and 2000 Nobel Prize in Medicine winning scholar of psychiatry, biochemistry, and neuroscience at the College of Physicians and Surgeons. He joined the Columbia faculty in 1974.
Kandel will be one of the leaders of the Jerome L. Greene Science Center, dedicated to neuroscientific research.
