The Hallelujah Man, also known as the Preacher, is a legendary figure in Morningside Heights near the southern end of Columbia's campus. He walks the area's sidewalks for sometimes hours at a time, several times each week, while yelling phrases such as "Hallelujah", "Jesus loves you", and "I love you", among others. He often wears a brown overcoat and fedora.
