Lavinia Lorch works in the Scholars Office. She was formerly head of the Fellowships Office, and was often criticized for Columbia's 2002-2007 drought in prestigious fellowships. After Michael Pippinger took over Fellowships and began turning Columbia's prospects around, Lorch was reassigned.
