Corporal Matthew Sanchez, or Matt Sanchez, (b. 1 December 1969) GS '07 is a 36-year old Columbia student. He was formerly a gay porn star and escort. Biography

Before coming to Columbia

Matt Sanchez, often called "Mateo" by his close friends, is an autodidact who taught himself several languages of which Spanish, French and German are confirmed. A frequent traveler, Sanchez is rumored to have visited over 50 nations over the course of the past few decades.

In the early to mid-1990s, Sanchez worked as a gay porn star. First, in 1993, he used the name Pierre LaBranche while working for Kristen Bjorn and William Duffault. In 1994, he moved to San Francisco and the studios changed his name to the more universal Rod Majors.

Furthermore, Matt Sanchez is alleged to have worked as a male escort. He is thought to have worked in 4 major US cities, charging $300-$350 per session. Sanchez allegedly optioned several screenplay, wrote for the Montreal Mirror, Time Out Berlin, Musique Plus, Burn Magazine, Teen People and the LA Times while working in public relations for several undisclosed clients. He also was apparently a consultant for TIVO, Digital Cities, and helped to create an early model for web-ads called Clickables, which he sold for an undisclosed amount.

Sanchez is currently a student at Columbia in the School of General Studies Class of 2007.

Military Bias On Columbia University Campus

Sanchez first became well known on campus for complaining to anyone who would listen about how he was taunted by Columbia leftists for being a minority in the military. He also claimed that the military is an underrepresented minority on campus. His media career started with an interview in the Columbia Spectator. After this he appeared on several Fox News television programs, including The O'Reilly Factor and Hannity & Colmes.

Gay porn star revelation

Sanchez attended the 2007 Conservative Political Action Conference where Ann Coulter made her infamous "faggot" insult about John Edwards. He received the Jeane Kirkpatrick Academic Freedom Award and was photographed with Coulter. A bunch of gay bloggers (such as Joe. My. God) recognized him as the former gay porn star by the name of Rod Majors, as described above. The story was rapidly seized upon by blogs like The Bwog and Gawker, and has since been covered by several major news organizations. It has also been alleged that he was an escort, again, as described above.

When the allegation hit the blogosphere, Sanchez was quick to respond with an op-ed piece he wrote for the liberal-slanted Salon.com.

A passionate defender of veteran rights on campus, Sanchez' activism is credited with winning approval for the Columbia University War Memorial. A project that will honor all alumni who have fallen in American conflicts since the War for Independence.
