Most Columbia residence hall rooms come with:

  • bed and mattress
  • desk and chair
  • chest of drawers
  • closet
  • bookshelf
  • ceiling lamp
  • trash can
  • mirror

You need to bring everything else, which may include:

  • Electronics
    • Computer
    • Ethernet cord - bring at least a 50 ft cable if you're living in Carman
    • Cell phone - provided ROLM phones are never used
    • Power strips or extension cords - some rooms, like in Carman provide as little as one pair of outlets per person
    • Desk lamp
    • George Foreman mini-grill
    • Mini-fridge

  • Bed/Bath
    • Bed risers
    • Bedding
    • Mattress pad
    • Shower caddy
    • Bathrobe
    • Towel
    • Under the bed drawers
    • Laundry hamper

  • Clothing
    • Formal clothes for interviews
    • Raincoat/umbrella
