Empire State of Mind is a song recorded by hip hop artist Jay-Z, featuring guest contributions by Alicia Keyes. The song was played immediately before the start every home varsity basketball game, Mens and Womens, in the Francis S. Levien Gymnasium during the 2009-2010 season. Whether this will be continued in future years is yet to be seen.
