LeFrak Gymnasium

LeFrak in 1954. The LIFE Magazine caption says "Posture Class for Girls at Barnard College,circling sontestants [sic] walking for half an hour rather like entrants at a livestock show, girls with poor posture soon begin to slump and are elimnated [sic]."

LeFrak Gymnasium is the gym of Barnard College and located on the ground floor of Barnard Hall. It's famous for being the last place Malcolm X delivered a public speech before his assassination at the Audobon Ballroom.

Many Barnard PE classes are held in LeFrak. It is also the site of the semiannual Midnight Breakfast.
