Lisa Anderson is the former dean of SIPA, where she has stayed on as a professor.

She became controversial after inviting Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to campus for the Fall 2006 World Leaders Forum, possibly without informing President Bollinger beforehand. Ahmadinejad is currently scheduled to speak in a Bollinger-approved format
