The Committee on the Core Curriculum is an academic committee of Columbia College that oversees the maintenance of the Core Curriculum, including approving changes, reviewing courses, and recommending additions to the Core. The committee is overseen directly by the Dean of Columbia College, but is chaired by a faculty member who rotates every few years.

Composition

The Committee consists of the heads of each of the Core subjects, as well as the Dean of Columbia College, the Dean of Academic Affairs, the Director of the Center for the Core Curriculum, and two to three student representatives from the Columbia College student body.
