Roar-ee is the current name of the mascot of the Columbia Lions. The most recent physical incarnation of the [[Columbia lion, he was introduced on October 15, 2005 at homecoming. His name was selected through a "Name the Mascot" contest that attracted over 200 entries. The adoption of the lion as a school mascot dates back to 1910.
