Sigma Delta Tau is a sorority recognized by the Panhellenic Council. The Gamma Tau Chapter of Sigma Delta Tau was founded at Columbia University in 1992.
The chapter currently occupies a brownstone at 540 W. 114th St. The current president is Brooke Gottlieb.

Prevent Child Abuse America is Sigma Delta Tau’s National Philanthropy. It is a voluntary organization dedicated to the prevention of child abuse through citizen action. PCAA America builds awareness, promotes and implements prevention efforts and works to ensure that every child has the opportunity to achieve his or her full potential. Each Sigma Delta Tau chapter conducts an annual service project, educational program, or major fund raising campaign for the benefit of PCAA.
