Lambda Pi Chi (LPX) is a Latina-interest multicultural sorority. LPX is recognized by the Multicultural Greek Council. Columbia is home to the group's Beta Chapter, which was founded in 1991, making it the first Latina-interest sorority on campus. The sorority allows inclusion of students from surrounding colleges, such as CUNY and CCNY.

Service & Philanthropy

The organization’s service work includes The Proyecto H.A.C.E.R. Initiative, World AIDS Day and Project LEAAP, the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health, and the National Council of La Raza. Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Inc. places no limit on what its sisters can do, or where they can go.

Whether through involvement in University efforts, or stepping out into the community and providing assistance to those in need, sisters of Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Inc. make it a daily goal to help improve their surroundings.

Founded 25 years ago, Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Inc. has brought to life a vision whereby women, despite ethnic, academic and economic backgrounds, step forward to unite and lead within their communities.
